Y Morrison, sin una guitarra, sin un demo, solo con versos locos y una mirada que no parpadeaba, soltó la primera llama:

“Let’s swim to the moon… let’s climb through the tide…”

Desde entonces, todo fue vértigo.
Los Doors no eran una banda: eran un ritual.

Lo prohibieron en ciudades.

Se convirtió en el símbolo de una juventud rota, hambrienta de algo que no sabía nombrar.
Jim era la voz de ese vacío.
“This is the end… my only friend, the end…”

En sus últimos años, estaba harto.

De la fama.
De la industria.
De todo.

Dejó la música. Se mudó a París.
Vivía entre libros, bebidas y silencios.
Decía que quería volver a ser poeta.
Pero ya no había vuelta atrás.
El daño estaba hecho.
Y él lo sabía.

El 3 de julio de 1971, Jim Morrison fue hallado sin vida en la bañera de su departamento.
Tenía 27 años.
No hubo autopsia.
Solo rumores.
Nadie supo con certeza.
Y tal vez así debía ser.

Porque Morrison vivió como un mito.
Y murió como uno.

Hoy, su tumba en París es lugar de peregrinación.

Sus poemas siguen vivos.
Sus canciones siguen ardiendo.

Y cada vez que suena Riders on the Storm, parece que el cielo se oscurece solo un poco más.
