A Ocho Años del Transantiago: Nos Siguen Debiendo un Transporte Público de Calidad y Precio Justo

A ocho años de implementado el Transantiago, éste no está a la altura de las necesidades de transporte, que tenemos millones de personas que habitamos ésta ciudad y que todos los días nos desplazamos a nuestros lugares de trabajo, estudios, etc. Hoy se quiere traspasar parte de la responsabilidad del fracaso de este sistema de transporte a los chóferes del Transantiago, a quienes se les exigirá la fiscalización en el pago de los pasajes y su remuneración dependerá del los pasajes controlados, con lo que pretenden resolver la evasión.

 

Es bueno recordar que una de las razones esgrimidas para que la gente comprara el cuento del nuevo sistema de transporte, fue un salario fijo para los chóferes y la implementación de la tarjeta BIP, la que permitiría entre otras cosas, despreocupar a los chóferes del cobro de pasajes y preocuparse sólo de conducir.

Si se implementa dicho anuncio, se volvería atrás en este aspecto.

Las autoridades tienen que entender que mientras el transporte público esté totalmente en manos de empresarios privados , éste va a estar lejos de ser un servicio que ponga en el centro el bienestar de la gente , ya que los empresarios por naturaleza buscan la máxima ganancia y poco les importa, que viajemos amontonados como animales en buses de mala calidad, incómodos y que no llegan a todos los lugares que se necesitan .

A esto le sumamos la irregularidad del flujo y el alto valor de los pasajes.

Se nos prometió un transporte de calidad, amigable con el medio ambiente, seguro, rápido en su desplazamiento y que esto nos permitiría viajes más cómodos, por lo que tendríamos más tiempo parta estar en familia.

Nada de esto se ha cumplido, al contrario, cada día se desmejora más la calidad del servicio y con las medidas tomadas sólo se apunta a la recaudación económica y no a cumplir con lo ofrecido, la inmensa mayoría de los que viajamos en el transporte público pagamos nuestro pasaje, por lo que nos sentimos estafados por los empresarios del transporte que nos entregan a cambio de un pasaje caro, un servicio que no es el que nos ofrecieron a través de una gigantesca campaña publicitaria.

A esto se le llama publicidad engañosa y esta penado por la ley, pero las autoridades nada dicen, como tampoco nada hacen con el alza permanente de los pasajes, lo que significa, simplemente, sancionar a los usuarios.

Demandamos de las autoridades el cumplimiento de lo ofrecido como servicio de transporte y la implementación de un sistema de transporte de superficie público estatal, en combinación con el metro, a un precio justo y que sea de calidad, seguro y que cumpla con las necesidades de transporte de la gente.

Seguro que con los miles de millones de dólares ya entregados por el estado, a los empresarios del transporte, dicho sea de paso dinero de todos nosotros, se podría haber financiado un transporte público de propiedad social que permitiera regular la calidad y precios de un servicio tan necesario y estratégico para el desarrollo de un país.
